Cardoness Castle, Gatehouse of Fleet.

Photograph of Braefoot, Borgue.Borgue is a bustling little village set amid the rolling coastal countryside of south-west Scotland. Unlike many of our small villages Borgue has managed to keep its church, primary school, hotel, village shop and Post Office and it has succeeded in retaining a certain character and charm.

Doreen and Jack Chambers would be delighted to welcome you to stay in their home. They offer good quality, attractive bed & breakfast accommodation consisting of one large family room with private toilet facilities and one twin bedded room with shared toilet facilities. Linen, towels, coffee and tea making, hairdryer and television are provided in both rooms.

Guest rooms at Braefoot are non-smoking. Small pets are welcome by prior arrangement. Including a full Scottish breakfast our prices start from only £25.00 per person per night. Special diets can also be catered for. Evening meals and packed lunches can also be supplied. Please ask for more details.

The Borgue area is known as the Parish of Milk and Honey. The surrounding countryside is home to many herds of dairy cows and milk production is an important feature of our rural economy. Our coastal pastures and mild climate encourages an abundance of wild flowers, especially wild thyme and natural white clover and for over a millennium honey production has been an important cottage industry.

Borgue and Carrick shores have small safe inlets.
